deSingel – Antwerpen (BE)

deSingel in Antwerp combines grandeur and adventure in a programme of international theatre, dance, music and architecture. It is not only a place for the contemporary, critical and transnational canon; but also an incubator for artistic creation, new trends and insights. The buildings on the site are developed and built in different phases since 1899 and includes many functions: auditoria, classrooms, dance studio’s, theatres, library, restaurant, bars and many others. The diversity in the entire complex and the difference in age is a challenge for the Facility Management department. Historical data and information is not centralized and not accessible for all team members.

deSingel appointed PROCOS Group to support in the optimisation of the asset management. In scope are the entire technical installations of the buildings and the equipment related to health & safety. Based on international standards we integrated a framework that allows a seamless access to the asset data. Our team was able to collect and standardize the asset data and information in the information management system, including contracts, technical documentation and maintenance procedures. Existing workflows were updated and new ones developed during interactive workshops with the team.

The result of our work is a well-defined framework and a database of the assets. The new procedures ensures all data and information is updated to support the Facility Management processes. In the upcoming months, the entire team will benefit from the asset data to optimize all Facility Management procedures.
