A new meeting centre for people and technology for Microsoft Belux
Microsoft went through an important cultural change to become the 'end-to-end software solution provider' for everyone. To support this process Microsoft Belux decided to create and implement a new working environment and to move its headquarters to the state of the art Passport building at Brussels Airport. Microsoft wants to create a new home and meeting place for 350 employees, partners and visitors where IoT and all new technology is implemented.
Working as a pioneer with Microsoft to integrate all newest technology in the building and in the working environment was challenging for our team. By having brainstorm sessions, discussions, experimenting and adapting the solutions, we were able to find the perfect balance between technology and the human being. Having the collaboration with the members of the Microsoft project team and the interaction with the ambassadors was a great experience.
The result is a new future proof working environment with a flexible concept that supports the well-being of all team members. No assigned desks but open collaboration spaces, brainstorm rooms and area’s for interaction. Bringing the nature in the building by adding green walls and wood creates a warm and cozy atmosphere. The IoT technology is not visible but fully integrated in the walls and the ceilings. The new office is a warm and human centered base camp for Microsoft team members on the road, partners and visitors.
